Italian National Acquitted

The firm was instructed to act for an Italian national who was being extradited to the UK.  At that point we attained an assurance from the Home Office that in the event of a conviction and custodial sentence, the client would be returned to Italy to serve any sentence. We secured bail for our client and after a six day trial at Harrow Crown Court, the jury returned a unanimous verdict of not guilty.   Maria Stalbow, our Italian speaking lawyer, was the lead solicitor and Counsel was Narita Bahra of 2 Hare Court.
