Over the years members of the litigation team have been involved in multiple major cases involving the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. These cases have included claims involving neighbours, ex-lovers, ex-friends, strangers and unknown persons. They have brought and defended injunctions in both the County Court and High Court, pursuant to section 3 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
The service provided covers a broad spectrum of harassment, whether it relates to cyber-stalking, cyber-harassment, harassment relating to boundary disputes, stalking, harassment by neighbours and harassment by the media.
Harassment can take the form of physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct which is unwanted by the individual target. Harassment is when someone behaves in a way that makes you feel distressed, humiliated or threatened. It could be someone you know like a neighbour or even a complete stranger.
We can also be instructed to commence criminal private prosecutions in relation to harassing behaviour.
We act for clients throughout England and Wales.
